Azure DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Automation Specialist

Venesco LLC is looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Automation Specialist.

This role focuses on automating infrastructure deployments using Terraform and Azure DevOps while aligning with specific Microsoft best practices such as continuous compliance, secure CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles. The candidate will streamline deployments and integrate robust automation workflows to maintain secure and scalable Azure environments.

As the Azure DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Automation Specialist you will:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Automation & Infrastructure as      Code (IaC): 

• 1. Develop and maintain Terraform modules that implement best practices like parameterized templates, version control, and idempotency.
• 2. Build and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD, ensuring that deployments incorporate secure configurations (e.g., RBAC, conditional access, and least privilege).

· Collaboration & Process Integration: 

• 1. Work closely with the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to integrate secure automation workflows, including Azure Policy compliance checks during deployments.
• 2. Collaborate on implementing continuous monitoring and feedback loops using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

· Process Improvement: 

• 1. Continuously evaluate and improve automation processes using industry-leading practices such as immutable infrastructure and blue-green deployments.

· Documentation & Support: 

• 1. Document automation scripts, pipeline configurations, and infrastructure deployment strategies, referencing Microsoft’s guidelines.
• 2. Provide troubleshooting and technical support for deployment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and security integrity.

PREFERRED SKILLS, EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE

• Experience with containerized deployments and orchestration tools such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Docker.
• Knowledge of security automation and integration with tools like Azure Sentinel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, such as laptop, server equipment, and, driving to the work site to meet with client(s).
