As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve the environment? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the federal government's toughest problems.
On our team, you’ll design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures and solutions to support enterprise applications. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with your team and client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set while developing critical systems for the government.

You Have:
5+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on the AWS platform
2+ years of experience managing large-scale AWS migration projects in enterprise environments
Experience selecting AWS services across computing, storage, database, and containerization
Experience working within compliance frameworks
Ability to build and deploy cloud-native applications and infrastructures
Ability to define and implement best practices for security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization
Ability to collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure successful migration and operation of cloud applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with senior leadership and stakeholders on AWS migration initiatives
Ability to manage multiple complex AWS migration projects simultaneously
Possession of excellent analytical skills with a focus on optimizing workloads for AWS
Master's degree
AWS Certificate Path Certification, including Solutions Architect, Cloud Security Engineer, or Network Engineer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
