The A.C. Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for an AWS Cloud Engineer role. This individual will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud architecture and a deep understanding of AWS services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions using AWS services to meet business and technical requirements
  • Lead the implementation and migration of applications and workloads to the AWS cloud environment
  • Optimize AWS environments for performance, cost, and scalability, ensuring efficient resource utilization
  • Design and implement robust security architectures, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security best practices
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Cloud Development Kit, Terraform, and Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources
  • Establish and enforce cloud governance policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support for cloud-based applications and services
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, processes, and procedures

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture and engineering, with a focus on AWS

  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services - EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (e.g., CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation)

  • Strong scripting skills using Python or Bash

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., CodePipeline, Jenkins)

  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack)

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar certifications
