Our client, a top-tier management consulting firm, is seeking two highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineers to support a critical engagement with a leading Fortune 100 healthcare organization. This initiative involves standing up a new AWS cloud environment that will mirror the rules, governance, and standards of the client’s existing AWS ecosystem while leveraging modern cloud-native management solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a senior-level AWS domain expert with deep hands-on experience architecting, building, and operationalizing enterprise cloud environments in highly regulated organizations. Candidates must be able to operate independently, move quickly, and support an accelerated project timeline. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build a new AWS cloud environment aligned with the client’s existing enterprise governance and compliance framework.
  • Implement AWS Control Tower, AWS Config, and IAM guardrails (SCP, Identity, Permissions).
  • Design and configure AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network connectivity.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and automated Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Implement DevOps workflows for deployment, monitoring, automation, and cloud lifecycle management.
  • Support ongoing operations and cloud hygiene for the newly built AWS environment.
  • Collaborate with cloud platform, governance, and security teams to ensure enterprise alignment.
  • Transition into continued support beyond May 31 through a new contract with Depuy or another J&J team. 

Ideal Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 5–10+ years of deep hands-on AWS engineering experience
  • Proven expertise in:
    • AWS Services Architecture
    • Control Tower
    • AWS Config
    • IAM/SCP/Identity
    • CloudFormation
    • AWS Networking & VPC Design
  • Strong DevOps engineering skills for deploying and operating cloud environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices
  • Python coding experience for cloud automation
  • Experience working in large-scale, complex, regulated enterprises
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight on a fast-paced timeline
