We are seeking for a Sr. Platform Engineer with 5+ years of professional experience in an exciting fast-paced production environment to support AWS Cloud infrastructure for our customer facing e-commerce sites and internal sales agent application.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and automate infrastructure & platform services in Public Clouds preferably in AWS Cloud using Infrastructure as Code, ie Cloudformation, Terraform, CDK, etc.
- Research and implement new technological subsystems to modernize our infrastructure and work with various groups to maintain our high uptimes and deliverables to various business partners.
- Implement automation and industry best practices to run our large-scale, rapidly growing infrastructure to reduce manual effort and increase team efficiency.
- Prioritize and address production and non-production issues in a timely manner and provide future avoidance solution.
- Implement observability best practices, ie monitoring, alerting, logging, etc to understand the health and availability of infrastructure and applications across Engineering organization.
- Configure and maintain software components, i.e., operating systems, web servers, application environments through Python and Bash in a highly customized environment.
- Participate in team follow the sun (24x7x365) on-call rotation and improve on-call practices and procedures.
- Adopt and implement processes improvement and engineering best practices across organization.
- Support innovation in designs of major components, systems and features.
- Collaborate with Platform team members to complete engineering initiatives.
- Participate in weekly releases and OS patching of infrastructure on regular basis to keep it secure.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on public cloud AWS experience, ie EBS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront etc.
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Infrastructure as code, ie Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK.
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Platform Engineering building an IDP in the area but not limited to DevOps, GitOps, Observability, Security, Network, etc.
- 5+ year’s professional hands-on strong experience administering Linux operating system environment, preferably in CentOS or RedHat
- 5+ years of professional experience in managing highly available SaaS environment as a DevOps Engineer/ Systems Engineer.
- Proficiency in scripting in Bash and Python automation must be part of your DNA.
- Good working knowledge of enterprise Storage and Backup environments.
- Application experience with web technologies such as Apache, Tomcat etc.
- Solid understanding of technology stack fundamentals such as TCP/IP, HTTP, NFS, SMTP , SFTP, LDAP ,TLS etc.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed.
