Sr. DevOps Engineer

We seek a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Azure Cloud, Docker, and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes. At SHI, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. This role requires excellent collaboration with developers and IT operations teams to ensure that software development and cloud infrastructures follow established processes and functionalities as intended.

This position is required to report to the SHI office location in Somerset, NJ, or Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

Include, but are not limited to:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure Cloud services
• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Automate application build and deployment processes using various scripting

• Maintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible

• Plan projects, determine dependencies, and manage tasks to ensure timely
• delivery
• Leverage Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions
• Create DevOps infrastructure solutions to support new applications with
• automated onboarding using built-in recipes for code reuse
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and project planning
• Manage and configure Azure networking, including virtual networks (vnets), private
• networks, peering, private DNS, DNS resolvers, and understand their interactions both
• within a subscription and across multiple subscriptions and on-premises
• environments

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5 + years experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• 4+ years of experience with cloud computing
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure
• Proven experience with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure management
• Strong expertise in Docker and containerization technologies
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, including setup and management of Controller
• and Agent Nodes
• Proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices
• Strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting
• Strong experience with Linux operating systems

• Proficient experience with Windows operating systems
• Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills
• Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and detailed records
• Strong automation skills for cloud, application build, and deployment processes
• Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible is a must
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus

• The estimated annual pay range for this position is $115,000 – $170,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
