Role:


The Sr. DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role within our Global DevOps team, guiding and working with a dynamic group of DevOps engineers. This position involves hands-on engagement across various client projects within the TallyGroup, contributing to the evolution of our technological landscape.




Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic leadership in shaping and refining DevOps practices across the organization.

  • Guide, mentor, and inspire a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Architect robust cloud solutions, deploying and scaling high-complexity, large-scale web applications with a focus on performance and reliability.

  • Establish and manage developer environments, offering support through system administration tasks.

  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate seamless integration and delivery processes.

  • Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure leveraging platforms like AWS and Azure.

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-leading tools such as Terraform and/or ARM Templates or Azure Bicep.

  • Deploy and maintain containerized applications utilizing Docker and Kubernetes (AWS EKS or Azure AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)).

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security standards are met and maintained.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes and standards.

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for stakeholders and senior management, effectively communicating complex concepts and solutions.




Experience and Qualifications:



  • E/B.Tech or MCA or equivalent education in the relevant stream

  • Advanced proficiency in Linux and/or Windows operating systems.

  • Extensive experience with cloud computing concepts, preferably Azure.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in developing for and deploying to public cloud environments.

  • Advanced proficiency with Git, Linux CLI or PowerShell, and IDEs.

  • Intermediate understanding of CI/CD concepts.

  • Intermediate proficiency in estimation and requirements gathering.

  • Intermediate understanding of technical risk assessment and management.

  • Basic understanding of Agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM.

  • Desired to have Azure Cloud certifications




Requirements:



  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles within DevOps or related fields.

  • Deep expertise in cloud computing concepts and services, particularly in Azure PAAS such as App Services, Function Apps and Logic Apps.

  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration with Kubernetes(AKS).

  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps or GitLab CI/CD.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
