MDVIP, based in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Sr. Azure Architect & DevOps Manager who will combine technical expertise in Azure architecture with strong leadership in managing DevOps processes and teams. This role will design and manage scalable, secure Azure solutions while optimizing deployment pipelines and fostering collaboration across development and operations teams.This role reports to the Executive Director, Security & Technology Operations.

Responsibilities

Azure Architecture

  • Cloud Strategy: Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Infrastructure Design: Architect Azure environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Application Development: design and implement scalable platforms for new cloud-based applications
  • Security & Compliance: Focus on implementing robust security best practices and industry standards within Azure to effectively meet and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. This proactive approach will enhance our security posture and ensure we are adhering to world-class standards. (e.g., identity management, network security, governance).  Drives the development and maintenance of cloud architectural governance policies, procedures, and the architecture for cloud-based solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and costs.  Design and implement disaster recovery and backup solutions, ensuring business continuity.
  • Innovation: Evaluate and integrate emerging Azure services to enhance system capabilities and meet evolving business needs.

DevOps Management

  • Pipeline Development: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.  Consult with senior management on solution development for complex strategic and technical business issues.
  • Collaboration: Bridge the gap between development and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.  Manages impactful relationships with internal teams, customers, and partner technical specialists to propose viable solutions based on specific technical products.
  • Tooling & Automation: Select and implement DevOps tools for infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and system monitoring (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions).
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the DevOps team, ensuring alignment with project goals and promoting best practices.
  • Incident Management: Establish processes for rapid incident resolution and system reliability improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in the study of Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and at least 8 years related business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling. Related experience assumes a similar corporate (field) role focused on establishing technical strategies and architecture at an enterprise level.

  • Experience leading DevOps teams managing cross-functional projects.
  • Expert-level knowledge consulting with cloud computing, in particular Microsoft Azure IaaS services to include application development, networking, databases, storage, backup/archive, security, and monitoring.
  • Experience in technical and architectural oversight, including first-line escalations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills, and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
  • Professional certification in Azure, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar preferred but not required.

Corporate office role: As a corporate based role in Boca Raton, FL, employees are expected to work from the corporate office.
