What You'll Do

  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • As a Platform Engineer, collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and data analysts to optimize data workflows and ensure seamless integration.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Data platform services such as distributed storage, compute, and streaming.  
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, proactively suggesting improvements and innovations.

 Who You Are

  • BS /MS degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3 + years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform engineering and cloud infrastructure
  • Extensive experience with Databricks and managing large scale data processing environments.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda and Cloud Formation.
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and scripting tasks. SQL is always plus.
  • Hands on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts and tools (e.g.: Apache Spark, ETL processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and self-motivated.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools (Git Lib, Terraform Cloud)
  • Certification in AWS, Terraform or relevant technologies.
