About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Systems & Cloud Engineer to join our team and support a broad range of infrastructure, networking, server, virtualization, and cloud environments.

This is a hands-on troubleshooting role. Strong networking and server troubleshooting experience is non-negotiable, as these are core components of our day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, is comfortable working independently, and can quickly get up to speed with new technologies and environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex server and network issues

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot TCP/IP, subnetting, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and connectivity issues

  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and Active Directory

  • Work with virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V

  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 / O365 and Azure environments

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administration

  • Support backup technologies and data center infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot cloud and on-premise infrastructure

  • Identify root causes of technical issues and implement effective solutions

  • Work across multiple technologies and environments as part of day-to-day support

  • Take ownership of technical issues from diagnosis through resolution

  • Document solutions and maintain a high level of technical accuracy

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients across the US

Desired Experience & Qualification

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and infrastructure

  • Strong hands-on experience with server troubleshooting

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VPNs, and VLANs

  • Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure

  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory

  • Good PowerShell scripting and automation skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable working with virtualization, backups, and cloud infrastructure

  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot new technologies quickly

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

  • Comfortable working full-time on US business hours

Nice to Have

Experience with the following would be an advantage, but is not required if the candidate has strong core infrastructure skills:

  • SQL Clustering

  • SAN technologies

  • Citrix

  • Exchange clustering

  • MSP-specific tools and platforms

  • Additional data center technologies

  • Relevant industry certifications

We are more flexible on these areas and will consider them on a case-by-case basis. Deep specialization in every technology is not expected. We are primarily looking for someone with strong networking, server, virtualization, and cloud fundamentals who can troubleshoot effectively and confidently work across different technologies.

You are a hands-on problem solver who doesn't get stuck when faced with something unfamiliar. You have strong fundamentals, enjoy troubleshooting, and are comfortable digging into an issue to find the root cause rather than simply applying a quick fix.
