Overview
Sedaro is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to build our culture of operational excellence. In this role, you will integrate CI/CD, security, and observability tools and automation for our Kubernetes-based multi-cloud environment, as well as rallying your teammates toward best practices.
- Team: DevSecOps Enablement, reporting to the Director of Engineering
- Location: In person in Arlington, VA

What You’ll Do
- Optimize multi-cloud production infrastructure for security, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Design and implement system observability with actionable alerting and measurable SLOs
- Drive automation through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and continuous compliance
- Lead root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem discussions
- Search out risks using chaos engineering activities
- Foster Lean practices and a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Expertise with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems architecture
- Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability practices
- Track record implementing security controls and vulnerability management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation
- Experience leading incident response and root cause analysis
- Proven ability to drive organizational adoption of technical best practices
Additional desirable experience:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform CDKTF
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with IL4/5+ and/or NIST 800-171
