Responsibilities

As a key member of our Platform Team, you will shape the SRE discipline, drive automation, and partner with engineering and business teams to improve system reliability and accelerate product delivery. You’ll work at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure, ensuring our systems are scalable, fault-tolerant, and continuously improving.

What you will be doing:

 

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Leading in architectural discussions on cost, reliability, scalability, and performance trade-offs
  • Guiding and mentoring junior SREs in automation, monitoring, and incident response best practices
  • Advocating for SRE principles across engineering teams

Observability & Troubleshooting

  • Defining and refining SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Optimizing, monitoring, and alerting strategies for early detection and proactive resolution
  • Applying a structured troubleshooting method to production outages and alerts while maintaining focus on recovery and escalating to system experts and leadership when appropriate
  • Maintaining detailed incident notes, perform root cause analysis, and hold retrospectives for continuous improvement

Toil Reduction & Automation

  • Eliminating toil by writing automation, developing software systems to improve operations, and/or influencing system redesign
  • Defining infrastructure as code using Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation

Change & Release Management

  • Developing and using robust software release pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or other similar tooling
  • Implementing reliable deployments using strategies like canary, rolling, and blue/green
  • Designing low-risk change procedures for complex systems

Qualifications

What you should have:

  • 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role
  • Strong proficiency in at least one scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and one programming language (Python, C#, Golang, etc.)
  • Extensive experience using AWS Services like ELB, EC2, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, EC2, Lambda, RDS and others
  • Deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing tools (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, etc.)
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
  • In-depth understanding of cloud native software architectures optimized for cost, availability and performance

 

Base Salary: $95,000 - $135,000

 

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
