The Senior Director, of DevOps & Strategic Initiatives, directs the DevOps build, test, and release functions and strategic initiatives for the Chief Information Office. Ensures the quality and efficiency of the Build, Test, and Release components of our DevOps model to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Drives technical success of special and strategic programs by cultivating and utilizing internal resources to foster collaboration across the Bank, District, industry, and academic institutions.
What you’ll do
- Directs the work of the DevOps teams to optimize the Build, Test, and Release components of the DevOps model.
- Develops and implements quality assurance strategies and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency/effectiveness and align with the IT Roadmap and mission to provide secure, reliable, and compliant services.
- Works closely with stakeholders throughout the Bank to ensure high-quality changes and seamless delivery.
- As part of the SDLC, create and manage a structured approach to managing test environments to ensure optimal test execution and service quality tollgates.
- Develop controls for test environments to ensure each environment is utilized by defined controls, allowing each phase of testing to occur in an optimal environment with fewer unexpected variables.
- Directs the work of cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and achieve organizational goals for assigned programs such as merger technology conversions and integrations.
- Monitors and reports on key performance metrics related to assigned initiatives.
- Establishes and nurtures collaborative relationships with universities, vendors, district associations, and across the Farm Credit System to support a robust talent pipeline and promote knowledge sharing among the Associations and Bank.
- Oversees the development of budgets and monitors performance against budget for the office of the CIO.
- Supports effective resource deployment for the office of the CIO.
- Monitors approved headcount positions and requests for new budgeted headcount, as well as ensuring contract support is utilized in a cost-effective manner.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance, DevOps, and innovation management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to build organizational bench strength.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
