As a Sr. DevOps Engineer at Momentus Technologies, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our systems and applications.
You will be expected to work independently, mentor team members, contribute innovative ideas, and ensure our infrastructure is robust and scalable. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and enhancing our development and deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve processes and systems.
- Understand and adapt communications to suit different audiences.
- Conduct code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Utilize scripting or Object-Oriented Programming to develop and automate tasks.
- Manage and query data using SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Use infrastructure management tools to monitor and maintain system performance and health.
- Implement and manage cloud services using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Apply networking principles to ensure secure and efficient system communications.
- Utilize Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline deployment processes.
- Independently explain technical challenges, solutions, and best practices concerning increasingly varied situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to mentor team members
- Demonstrate the ability to lead projects
- Demonstrate the ability to use observability tools (Datadog or Dynatrace)
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Fluent in English
- College Degree
- Ability to be on call 1 weekend out of every 7 weeks
- Proficient in virtualized compute
- Proficient in SQL or NoSQL databases
- Proficient in writing T-SQL or designing NoSQL databases
- Proficient in Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Proficient in Azure DevOps or other CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient in systems administration and networking concepts
- Proficient in using infrastructure management tools
- Strong understanding of networking principles
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, able to tailor messages to different audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute innovative ideas
- Experience in participating in and conducting code reviews
- Proficient at using observability tools (Datadog or Dynatrace)
