Are you an experienced Cloud Engineer looking for your next challenge? Trissential is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our client’s team and lead a cloud-first modernization initiative. This is a high-impact role where you'll leverage your expertise in Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation to drive scalability, security, and efficiency. Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the migration of on-premises applications and data to Azure, ensuring scalability and security
  • Design and implement advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for streamlined, repeatable deployments
  • Automate critical cloud infrastructure, including server provisioning, database backups, and resource management
  • Secure cloud environments using Azure Security Center, Zero Trust principles, and RBAC best practices
  • Optimize and configure cloud networking, including VPNs, firewalls, VNet peering, and private cloud connections (ExpressRoute or Direct Connect)
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools for performance optimization and proactive issue resolution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and networking issues
  • Define and enforce cloud governance, security policies, and cost optimization strategies
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members on Azure best practices and automation techniques
  • Support Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) planning in cloud and hybrid environments

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with expertise in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP
  • Proven leadership experience in cloud migration and optimization projects
  • Advanced proficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, or Ansible
  • Strong expertise in cloud security frameworks, including RBAC, AAD/EntraID, identity federation, and Zero Trust security models
  • Deep knowledge of network security, DNS management, firewalls, WAFs, and cloud peering configurations
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
  • Strong background in CI/CD automation tools (Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, or similar)
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and DevSecOps environments
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and cross-functional teams

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Hands-on experience with Hybrid Cloud and On-Premises to Cloud connectivity
  • Strong background in Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies
  • Expertise in cost optimization and FinOps strategies in cloud environments
  • Multi-cloud experience (e.g., AWS, GCP) and integration knowledge
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Experience designing API-driven architectures and microservices

Education & Certifications You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400) preferred
  • Relevant cloud or security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Engineer, CISSP, or CCSP) are a plus
