About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, who will be responsible for ensuring quality product engineering and delivery. This includes test case reviews, test case writing, manual testing, unit testing, performance testing, and test automation, as needed.
Our team is distributed, which means you’ll be collaborating remotely with team members in different geographic locations. You will need to work standard Eastern Time business hours for optimal collaboration. You will get the chance to continuously find and execute improvements that heighten the efficiencies of your tasks while leveraging the newest technologies available to do so.
Some of the main responsibilities for the role include:
- Commit to doing whatever it takes to ensure quality product delivery including test case reviews, test case writing, manual testing, unit testing, performance testing, and test automation, as needed
- Work in an Agile environment using modern methodologies and open-source tools
- Pair/mob program with agile team members to support all development
- Provide constructive feedback through code reviews
- Work and collaborate with both business and technical teams who love to solve real problems
- Follow and advocate for our coding, testing, and Release Readiness standards to help drive quality
- Learning the architecture of the Fraud Monitor service and its dependencies with other applications
- Ensure appropriate technical documentation is created and maintained
- May perform other job duties as assigned
Job Skills/Requirements
- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in development
- Proficient in C# and .NET
- Proficient in AWS development (Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SMS, EventBridge, etc.)
- Proficient in consuming and interacting to API’s (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
- Proficient in writing new API’s and contracts
- Experience and working knowledge with databases (MySQL)
- Must be able to work standard Eastern Time zone business hours
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development
- Able to see the big picture of how systems interact with one another
Nice to have:
- Experience with test automation
- Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes, Heroku)
- Experience with event-driven architecture
- Experience with GitHub for source code management, version control, security vulnerability scanning
- Experience in the payments/financial industry
- Experience with Observability practices and tools (e.g. Grafana, CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.)
