Senior AWS Cloud Engineer - Westcor Land Title Insurance Company

Position Summary: The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing and working with 24x7 AWS support team to optimize Amazon AWS infrastructure.

 Essential Functions:

• Manage, optimize and support the existing infrastructure
• Learn about new technologies and tools in AWS
• Create and utilize tools to monitor applications and services in the cloud including system health indicators, trend identification, and anomaly detection
• Enhance monitoring of systems, services and hardware to solve problems
• Monitor bottlenecks and analyze key metrics to optimize software + system performance
• Manage and verify backup systems and disaster recovery processes
• Provide analytics and forecasts for cloud capacity, troubleshooting analysis, and uptime
• Detect and analyze possible software and network vulnerabilities
• Provide system level and application-level support
• Work closely with the internal support team
• Troubleshoot and manage technical issues
• Create detailed test plans that incorporate mitigations for project risks and inputs from prior lessons learned
• Develop scripts to automate routinely executed jobs to gain efficiency in day-to-day operations
• Define and document system run books and operating procedures

 Competencies:

• 4+ years of experience on managing production systems required
• 4+ years of experience on Windows 2012/2014/2016/2019, Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016/2019, SQL Profiler, IIS, .net framework required
• 2+ years of experience administrating Amazon AWS (EC2, ELB, WAF, CloudWatch) required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, IIS, .net framework and networking required
• Strong knowledge on SQL server memory utilization, indexes, performance optimization, and query execution plans required
• Scripting/Coding experience to automate operations and tasks required
• Strong troubleshooting abilities required
• Experience with security and compliance a plus
