Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the shift-left approach for cybersecurity and compliance, ensuring these aspects are integrated early in the development process.
  • Enhance the developer experience by streamlining workflows, automating processes, and providing robust self-service tools and frameworks.
  • Lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS serverless systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration of legacy systems to serverless in AWS.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for quality, security, and compliance across all stages of the development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the performance, availability, and security of cloud systems and networks
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources and costs
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in cloud technologies and adopt new solutions as appropriate
  • Develop and document policies, procedures, and standards for the cloud environment
  • Determine the long-term and short-term personnel needs of the team and manage the hiring, training, and evaluation of the DevOps staff
  • Provide IT support and troubleshooting to employees and clients as needed

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a DevOps or platform engineering leadership role, with a focus on AWS and serverless architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR).

Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Passion for improving developer experience and driving innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability delivering excellent work both at a team level and personal level
