Job Title: PSOC DevOps Engineer (Onsite)

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth, TX
Employment Type: Contract 

Position Overview

A large enterprise organization is seeking a PSOC DevOps Engineer to support and enhance its Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) technology environment. This role is responsible for the development, administration, and operational support of physical security applications—primarily Lenel OnGuard and Genetec—while ensuring system stability, security, and alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

The PSOC DevOps Engineer will serve as a key technical point of contact, collaborating with internal physical security teams, IT infrastructure teams, and external vendors to support mission-critical physical security systems across a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Administration

  • Develop, configure, and support physical security applications, with a focus on Lenel OnGuard and Genetec platforms
  • Install, configure, administer, patch, and upgrade physical security applications
  • Configure physical security tools and integrations based on operational and business requirements

System & Infrastructure Support

  • Provide Windows and Linux server administration for physical security applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliability
  • Implement and maintain security patches, upgrades, and resource changes

Operational Support & DevOps Practices

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for support of assigned physical security applications
  • Manage and resolve JIRA tickets, including incidents, service requests, enhancements, and changes
  • Create and maintain runbook documentation, including:
    • Application and system architecture

    • Server and environment details

    • Vendor-recommended versus actual configurations

    • Standard operating and support procedures

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with physical security teams, IT stakeholders, and application vendors
  • Ensure physical security solutions meet operational needs and technical standards
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and leadership

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Support audits, compliance activities, and security reviews related to physical security systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Perform additional duties related to physical security applications as assigned by leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting physical security applications, preferably Lenel OnGuard and/or Genetec
  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux system administration
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing systems
  • Ability to develop clear, detailed technical documentation and operational runbooks
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) or similar environment
  • Knowledge of access control systems, video management systems (VMS), and physical security integrations
  • Experience in large, regulated, or critical infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices (automation, monitoring, system reliability)
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managed service providers
