Overview We are seeking a highly capable Platform Engineer IV to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade platform solutions that support high-volume, real-time applications. This role sits at the intersection of full-stack engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms, requiring both strong development capabilities and system-level thinking.
This engineer will contribute to high-availability distributed systems, public APIs, and data-intensive workflows while partnering with Data Science, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
Core Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable, resilient platform solutions supporting high-throughput systems
• Design and develop public-facing APIs and backend services using Java/Spring Boot
• Build modern front-end interfaces using Angular
• Drive architecture decisions and mentor engineers on best practices
• Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to enable ML-driven features
• Work with Kafka, Spark, Hadoop for real-time and batch data processing
• Develop and maintain ETL/data warehouse integrations
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability best practices
• Automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Ensure uptime, performance tuning, and platform scalability
• Support cloud and on-prem infrastructure provisioning and operations

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Java + Spring Boot
  • Angular (modern versions)
• Experience building and maintaining APIs at scale
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Linux systems and networking fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and system monitoring

• AWS (or other cloud platforms)
• Kafka / Streaming architectures
• Python for data or scripting use cases
• Exposure to big data ecosystems (Spark, Hadoop)

• Full-stack engineer with strong backend bias
• Comfortable operating in platform-heavy, production environments
• Experience supporting high-scale systems with uptime accountability
• Strong communicator who can collaborate across engineering, data, and operations
