Title: Master Principal Architect – Dedicated Cloud, Oracle Cloud Engineering

Reports to: Director, Cloud Engineering

Master Principal Architect will have a significant impact on the growth trajectory of our distributed cloud portfolio. Oracle cloud is driving innovations in the dedicated cloud space and continues to develop unique technologies to enable customer digital transformation. You’ll bring to this role strong technical and business acumen, market and customer insight, great storytelling, and proven experience in delivering rapid growth. You’ll be empowered to accomplish great things, surrounded by a team of smart and creative resources.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drive strategic opportunities by owing end-to-end customer engagement 
  • Exercise creativity, independent judgement and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very complex business solutions 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customer leadership teams
  • Develop compelling content including sales presentations, demo stories and thought leadership pieces to reflect the value proposition
  • Develop and deliver training to the wider technical sales organization to help scale the business
  • Partner with multiple Oracle organizations – Product Management, Sales, Field/Campaign Marketing, PR, Alliances, etc. – to align on messages, deliverables, go to market

Requirements for this position include:

  • 8+ year���s experience in technical sales / outbound product management / technology consulting in cloud driven technology enterprises
  • Understanding of broader ecosystem of cloud services – IaaS /PaaS / SaaS, hybrid / multi-cloud strategies Exceptional presentation and communication skills, written and verbal; great storyteller
  • Highly energetic, charismatic, creative and organized
  • Team player with ability to build relationships and influence outside of authority 
  • Position can be based anywhere in continental U.S.
  • Education: Degrees in Business, Marketing, Computer Science / Engineering

Responsibilities

Responsible for engaging with strategic and more complex customers, builds leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations in order to design and implement solutions.  Works directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. May implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.  Displays product/application understanding through highly customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.  Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations).  Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new solutions, products, and processes.  Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies. Acts as an acknowledged authority for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner.  Identifies gaps and enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps for customer driven features. Maintains expertise by staying current on emerging technologies.

US: Hiring Range: from $137,900 to $232,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
