We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer to drive our cloud and DevOps strategy across hybrid infrastructure. This role requires expert-level experience in AWS, strong background in both Windows and Linux systems, automation-first thinking, and a deep understanding of security and compliance (PCI-DSS, FedRAMP). You'll lead the implementation of scalable cloud-native solutions using modern DevOps tools, containers, and microservices architectures while ensuring performance, security, and resilience.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. 

  1. Lead design and implementation of AWS infrastructure, using best practices for networking, security, automation, and cost management.
  2. Architect and manage hybrid systems environments (Linux, Windows, AD integration, Microsoft 365).
  3. Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or Ansible.
  4. Build robust CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Jenkins.
  5. Design and support containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and service meshes (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
  6. Enable and support microservices architectures, using tools like AWS ECS/Fargate, EKS, and Helm.
  7. Lead security-first DevOps efforts, including enforcement of IAM best practices, encryption, monitoring, and compliance.
  8. Implement automation for provisioning, configuration management, patching, and recovery.
  9. Design secure and scalable cloud networking (VPC, transit gateways, NAT, firewalls, private link, DNS).
  10. Ensure adherence to PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, and internal regulatory standards via automated checks and audit tools.
  11. Lead root cause analysis, performance tuning, and high-availability design.
  12. Deploy scalable AI/ML infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, OpenAI) to support training, testing, and inference workflows.
  13. Mentor DevOps engineers and promote best practices across the infrastructure and engineering teams.

Education/Experience: 

    • 7+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture roles.
    • Expert-level AWS experience across core services (EC2, ECS, Bedrock, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, GuardDuty, etc.).
    • Proficiency in both Windows Server and Linux Server Administration.
    • Strong automation and scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Go.
    • Production experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS), Docker, and microservices deployment.
    • Deep understanding of cloud networking (subnets, route tables, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
    • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 environment management (Exchange Online, Azure AD, Intune).
    • Solid foundation in cloud security practices, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and compliance enforcement.
    • Experience working under regulatory frameworks like PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
    • Hands-on with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Grafana).

Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
  • CKA/CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CIS

The annual salary for this role is currently $140,000.00-$160,000.00. The Company’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data.
