POSITION DESCRIPTION
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for scaling and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to support global operations while ensuring the highest levels of availability and security. You will architect solutions that streamline complex requirements, helping the company scale efficiently without introducing unnecessary complexity. You will also work closely with the product team and other engineering teams  to ensure that our infrastructure can support customer-facing requests and new product features that directly impact our users. Within this role, you also will lead devops ensuring we have deployment automation. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for innovation. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to keep the team organized, focused, and constantly improving.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team that architects and designs scalable, efficient cloud infrastructure solutions that support the company's product and customer needs, reducing complexity where possible.
    • Collaborate with product teams to ensure the infrastructure supports customer-driven requirements, including hosting in new regions or adding features that directly impact end users.
    • Oversee and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, and Azure), with a focus on global, multi-region deployments that are highly available and scalable.
    • Work closely with the Finance team to manage and optimize cloud spend, ensuring cost-effective solutions that don’t sacrifice performance.
    • Collaborate with the Security team to implement and maintain strong cloud security practices.
    • Further drive automation efforts for infrastructure management.
    • Improve the developer experience for internal engineering teams, reducing friction and making deployment processes seamless.
    • Evaluate current technologies and drive innovation by researching, testing, and implementing new tools and approaches that can improve the infrastructure or reduce complexity.
    • Mentor and support team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
    • Lead and grow the Cloud Infrastructure team, ensuring effective sprint planning, clear focus, and alignment with executive leadership’s strategic vision.
    • Communicate technical needs, priorities, and long-term vision clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.

Skills & Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience designing scalable and highly-available multi-region cloud architectures across multiple platforms (GCP, AWS, and Azure).
    • 5+ years of experience leading and scaling Infra & DevOps engineering teams, with a focus on sprint planning, clear vision-setting, and keeping teams organized and on track.
    • Experience working closely with product teams to understand customer-driven requirements and incorporate them into cloud infrastructure planning. Ability to balance business needs with technical feasibility.
    • Solid understanding and experience managing linux systems and containers.
    • Experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes for managing infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Strong understanding of cloud security practices and working with security teams to implement secure infrastructure solutions.
    • Proven track record in managing cloud costs and collaborating with Finance teams to ensure cloud resources are used efficiently and effectively.
    • A passion for staying current with emerging technologies and continuously evaluating the current tech stack.
    • Experience with programming languages such as Python, shell scripting, and JavaScript
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, and to align the team with executive leadership’s strategic direction.
$200,000 - $230,000 a year
The target base salary for this position is $200,000-$230,000 plus quarterly 20% bonus and equity. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
