About the Role: Β Candidate will play a critical role in accelerating modernization efforts by transforming legacy applications into secure, cloud-ready, and containerized deployments through automated and scalable platforms. This position drives the engineering practices that enable continuous integration, continuous delivery, and full-stack observability across AWS and containerized environments. By implementing modern DevSecOps pipelines, standardizing containerization patterns, and embedding automation and monitoring across the application lifecycle, the engineer will help establish a resilient, high-velocity environment that improves reliability, security, and application onboarding across the enterprise. The Engineer will be responsible for set up and assisting in training multiple applications teams to move towards orchestrated deployments

Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead modernization of legacy applications into microservices and containerized architectures.Β 
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security guardrails baked in.
  • Implement standardized containerization patterns for application onboarding.
  • Configure full-stack observability using Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Develop Terraform/Ansible automation to support infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Provide hands-on enablement, coaching, and training for application teams adopting modern deployment workflows.
  • Collaborate with cloud, security, and architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Support deployment orchestration on AWS (EKS/ECS) and container platform services.

Required Professional Skills:

  • 8+ years in DevSecOps, cloud modernization, or platform engineering
  • Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, etc.). In this case GitHub Actions will be utilized by the team.

Preferred Professional Skills:

  • Experience with AWS container orchestration (EKS/ECS)
  • Experience with GitOps
  • AWS DevOps Professional certification
  • Terraform Associate certification
  • Experience supporting federal modernization initiatives
