What we need!
We need a highly experienced customer-facing technical solutions engineer who will lead and be responsible for all aspects of service delivery on an enterprise acquisition system for 6000 users across the USDA. The DevOps Manager will be responsible for leading a team of technical professionals, guiding them in the design, development, and implementation of Oracle-based solutions that align with client needs and technical specifications.
Job Summary:
- Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of Oracle-based solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of system upgrades, enhancements, tools, and applications.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Stay up to date with the latest Oracle and supporting technologies and industry trends and provide recommendations for process improvements and technology upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Oracle applications and databases.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring system documentation is maintained.
- Support the business development team’s efforts to retain and win new business.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Manager for the Federal Government, or similar role, with a strong focus on Oracle technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, and related technologies.
- Experienced Systems Operations and Sustainment manager.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
- Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
- 3 years Prior GOVCON experience with UNISON PRISM is preferred.
- Proposal and technical writing experience is required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and delegation skills required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Location:
- DC Metro Area &Tampa, FL – Telework is authorized.
- Periodic onsite client visits
- Periodic visits to headquarters (Tampa)
