DevOps Engineer IV
Who is Beast Code?
Beast Code began in 2014 as a small group of friends with a dream to transcend the traditional defense solution paradigm. Today, we are a workforce of approximately 200 beasts headquartered in Fort Walton Beach and driving the next wave of software development and technology on the Emerald Coast of Florida. Our projects are increasing as we build better solutions for industrial and commercial organizations.
DevOps Engineer Description
Beast Code is searching for a well-seasoned DevOps Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to serve as a sensei of sorts, helping find balance between agility and stability as it relates to deploying our software into various environments.
To join our dojo, the DevOps SRE must be a master of Kubernetes and Helm, a ninja on the command line, and have a solid understanding of software engineering principles. You’ll be working with a mixed team of engineers focused on the deployment of our software and the refinement of the software for deployment into myriad environments. The DevOps SRE should be a highly confident communicator and comfortable collaborator who can work closely with Cybersecurity, IT Operations, and Software Engineers in a team atmosphere to create new IT environments and features — and maintain existing ones — for developers and customers alike.
For this team, the DevOps SRE must possess communication skills capable of holding high level technical discussions both with other engineers as well as non-engineers.
The DevOps SRE must also possess a strong practical knowledge of configuration management using cloud-native, open-source tools, and software engineering techniques/methodologies. Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is another skill our DevOps SRE should be well proficient in.
