About the role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a DevOps Engineer to join our IT Operations and Infrastructure Team. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining DevOps methodologies across our technology stack, including tools and technologies such as but not limited to: GCP, Linux Server, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Team City, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, monitoring tools Datadog.

Within this position, you will play a key role in monitoring and improving our systems. In addition, this role will contribute to engineering automation solutions including continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the System Engineers and Development team to ensure production systems are released seamlessly with minimum downtime.

  • Work with the System Engineers to maintain web, virtual, and client server environments, migrating workloads to the cloud.

  • Building, maintaining, scripting and monitoring cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes and CI/CD services.

  • Building, maintaining and testing backup and restoration capabilities of the system infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT service issues related to operating systems and servers, and provide an escalation point for infrastructure issues.

  • Participate in internal ISMS audits and contribute to client and supplier InfoSec assessments.

  • Work with Network, VoIP and Cloud providers and partners on system specific issues and requests.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally meet the following criteria:


  • Previous experience in a similar role working in enterprise environments.

  • Degree qualified in IT or Engineering, or relevant industry experience.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in cloud technologies (GCP or AWS) would be highly regarded.

  • Experience in laC - preferably Ansible would be highly regarded.
