As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Cloud Design and Automation: Contributing to the development of scalable cloud designs and automating routine tasks under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Implementing Cloud Solutions: Assisting in the implementation of the organization’s cloud strategy and contributing to the adaptation process in collaboration with senior engineers.

  • Establishing and Following Best Practices: Adopting and applying established best practices for cloud usage as part of the team, with opportunities to suggest improvements.

  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Working with Product Owners and Business Leads to understand requirements and implementing cloud solutions based on defined patterns and guidance.

  • Creating Documentation: Supporting the development and maintenance of technical diagrams, reference materials, and documentation for cloud solutions.

  • Development Team Support: Assisting development teams in building and troubleshooting cloud-based solutions when required.

  • Monitoring Security and Privacy: Collaborating with IT security teams to ensure compliance with security protocols and contributing to the development of incident-response procedures.

  • Learning and Growing: Staying updated with industry trends and learning new cloud technologies to grow into a more senior position over time.

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Cloud Platforms: 1-3 years of hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

  • Scripting and Automation: Intermediate-level skills in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate tasks.

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Experience with cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog) to ensure system performance and reliability.

  • Networking Basics: Knowledge of VPCs, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs in a cloud environment.

  • Security Fundamentals: Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and cloud-native security tools.

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Github Actions to automate builds and deployments.

  • Containers: Basic experience with Docker and an understanding of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Due to the nature of the work, this role will require hours of work outside usual business hours

Nice to have:

  • Certifications – Google, Microsoft or Amazon’s Cloud Certifications or Kubernetes Certifications from CNCF
