Azure DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to work on assisting in the delivery of a key modernisation project.

It is expected that the successful candidate will have an active Baseline Clearance and be available to start as soon as possible.

Role requirements include but are not limited to:

• Define, develop and document the existing automation technologies to enhance the projects build, test and deployment capabilities.
• Assist the application development teams with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
• Participate and help guide project cloud migration work, support and further develop Azure pipelines for the solution platform.
• Identify and support the implementation of further opportunities for automation within the product development process to improve and streamline service delivery.

This role will also involve supporting development efforts across the project to adhere to change control processes application development and integration.

Essential:

• Extensive experience in developing automated build and deployment pipelines using Terraform, YAML, ARM Templates and PowerShell.
• Experience in defining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and incorporating it into automated pipelines.               
• Experience with or knowledge of Cloud assets, particularly PAAS assets, in either Azure or AWS.
• Communicates with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Experience in at least one coding or scripting language, e.g., C#, Java, PowerShell, Bash.

Desirable:

• Azure DevOps Certification.
