As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will use cutting-edge cloud and data technologies to streamline services to our clients. What you will be doing

  • Guiding the design and implementation of secure solutions and services across the client’s business and IT support areas 

  • Employ excellent client-facing and consulting skills to create innovative business solutions based on your network and systems experience 

  • Define and implement secure networking solutions between on-premises data centers and commercial clouds 

  • Develop solutions integrating Microsoft Azure commercial clouds (public and government community) with services hosted on-premises and in other clouds 

  • Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration 

  • Implement AIS cloud infrastructure solution offerings based on public cloud, private cloud, hybrid client environments, and multi-cloud environments   

  • Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures

  • Set quality standards for tools, techniques, and methodologies, advising on their application, and ensuring compliance  

Location and Travel Details

This is a hybrid role. Must be local to Washington, DC area, Montgomery, AL, or Boston, MA.

Security Clearance

**US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED**

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance upon hire. Must obtain an interim clearance prior to start.

Required for this Opportunity

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Must have a CompTIA Security+ or obtain within 30 days

  • Proficiency in infrastructure management and associated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform,Bicep,ARM)

  • Strong proficiency in Bash, Powershell, Python, or similar languages

  • Configuration management with Ansible

  • Experience in creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)

  • Experience with deploying Linux based containerized applications to Kubernetes.

  • Monitoring tools (e.g., Application Insights, Elastic, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)

  • Understanding of DOD STIGS, CIS Benchmarks and NIST controls

  • Experience with Azure Cloud services

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Have Skills

  • Active Secret clearance preferred

  • Active Security+ certification preferred

  • Certifications on Microsoft products, including Azure and Windows

  • Experience supporting enterprise systems and applications such as AVD, database systems, web servers, Active Directory, Identity Services

  • Familiarity with networking (IP addressing, firewall rules, routing)
