AWS DevOps Engineer (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to design, automate, and optimize large-scale cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and performance. As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you’ll take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability frameworks to support mission-critical applications. You’ll collaborate closely with development and operations teams to drive continuous improvement, streamline deployments, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. The position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in dynamic, cloud-native environments and is passionate about automation, scalability, and technical excellence.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Support and optimize containerized workloads with Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party tools.
• Troubleshoot system performance, latency, and reliability issues while maintaining SLAs and SLOs.
• Enforce IAM best practices, encryption, and secure networking to meet compliance standards such as HIPAA, FedRAMP, or SOC 2.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure seamless and secure software delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across teams.

• US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, including 5 years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (additional experience may substitute for education).
• Proficiency with AWS core services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Route 53, CloudFront, and IAM.
• Strong experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Hands-on experience managing CI/CD workflows, Helm charts, Dockerfiles, environment configurations, and artifact management.
• Proficiency in scripting and development using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and automation for compliance environments.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Solutions Architect certification is a strong plus.

• Competitive annual salary range: $92,000 – $153,000, depending on experience, skills, and certifications.
