At DXC Spain we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our great team of Cloud.
As Cloud engineer, you’ll be on charge of Cloud Technologies implementation and configuration. In collaboration with our architects, you’ll code and deploy the solutions, you’ll also help to operate and support in an efficient way these solutions.
Tasks:
- Accountable for delivering, maintaining, and optimizing Cloud Platforms (AWS) and related infrastructure, network, database, and middleware capabilities to support and enable the development and operations of Cloud modules and solutions
- Accountable for creating and reviewing Cloud solution designs, understanding their impact on the associated infrastructure, network and ensuring the availability of supporting and enabling infrastructure from internal or external service provider.
- Accountable for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the operational capacity, availability, and performance of the Cloud solutions against SLAs from a level two and level three support perspective.
- Accountable for deploying new projects in the existing Cloud infrastructure.
- Drive the engineering discussions with Public Cloud service providers to forecast and right-size long-term capacity and performance requirements, iterating regularly.
Requirements:
- >2 years’ experience in Design, Engineering roles for Systems analysis and infrastructure & network design in web-scale environments.
- Infrastructure & Network automation and configuration management tools
- Public cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies
- Network knowledge and network management experience in large scale Datacenter environment
- Highly cross-functional and able to swap and perform adjacent roles and responsibilities at short notice
- Strong relationship building, persuasion, and collaboration skills that drives effective constructive feedback and support
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to distil difficult technical concepts into simple and actionable practices
- Experience on automation and IaaC (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.), version control (e.g. Git), CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, or TFS, or Travis CI), containers (e.g. Docker, kubernetes or OpenShift), infrastructure testing (e.g. ServerSpec), infrastructure security (e.g. OWASP ZAP), or test automation (e.g. Selenium or Gatling).
