DescriptionDelaware Nation Industries/Indigenous Technologies works with AFLCMC located at Tinker AFB, OK to provide remote support to the Air Forceβs Core Engine Maintenance System. We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to provide cloud infrastructure and server administration support to the Propulsion Integration Division (AFLCMC/LPZ). The Cloud Engineer will work closely under the Technical Lead to sustain, secure, and optimize cloud-based environments (AWS) that enable critical Air Force mission operations.
The ability to obtain a security clearance is REQUIRED.
A Security+ Certification is REQUIRED.
This position is 100% remote.
- Perform server administration of production, development, and test environments hosted within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Support the sustainment and optimization of CEMS cloud development environments.
- Analyze system requirements and securely integrate CEMS components to achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Assess and recommend computing, networking, and security configurations for the CEMS cloud infrastructure.
- Support the implementation and/or replacement of the CEMS Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solution within a government-approved cloud environment.
- Configure and leverage AWS cloud-native services for infrastructure provisioning and resource management.
- Collaborate with the Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber Security team to support compliance activities, including Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Plan of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms), vulnerability management, remediation, and mitigation.
- Conduct system performance tuning, patching, and updates in alignment with Air Force cybersecurity requirements.
- Provide recommendations to improve cloud infrastructure security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Ensure continuous system availability, reliability, and maintainability to meet or exceed 99% system uptime requirements.
Requirements - Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration roles.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and services.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security principles, and system integration.
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) concepts.
- Experience in system hardening and compliance with DoD STIGs and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure provisioning using cloud-native tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI, etc.).
- Experience with vulnerability management, patching, and system remediation activities.
