Job Description

The State of Virginia – TAX is seeking an Enterprise Architect/AWS Cloud Engineer to support cloud migration efforts, architect AWS solutions, and provide ongoing on-premise support. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, scripting capabilities, and experience in containerization and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Migration: Assess, plan, and execute on-premises workload migrations to AWS using AWS Migration Services.
  • AWS Cloud Engineering: Architect and implement AWS solutions using EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, and other services.
  • Security & Compliance: Identify and mitigate security risks in AWS environments while ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Infrastructure Management: Provision, scale, and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • On-Premise Support: Maintain and troubleshoot existing on-premise infrastructure, including VMware environments.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development teams to deploy and manage cloud-based applications.
