Description

This role is responsible for design, development, and deployment of cloud-native solutions that will drive long-term business value. The ideal candidate will contribute to strategic cloud initiatives, modern data platform integrations, and infrastructure automation.



Responsibilities
  • Design and architect cloud-based infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, and others in alignment with security and scalability best practices.
  • Develop and deploy cloud integrations for data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, including secure connectivity, role-based access, and automation pipelines.
  • Build reusable infrastructure modules and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Engineer automated solutions for notebook-based development environments (e.g., Jupyter, SageMaker) to support advanced analytics and data science use cases.
  • Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver cloud-native applications and reusable patterns that accelerate future innovation.
  • Create system-level documentation, design diagrams, and deployment runbooks to ensure maintainability and scalability of delivered components.
  • Apply Unix/Linux knowledge to build and troubleshoot compute environments and shell-based automation workflows.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure that infrastructure and data workflows meet governance requirements from Day 1.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide knowledge transfer to operations teams post-deployment


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with integrating modern data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake into enterprise cloud architectures.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience working in notebook environments.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of Unix/Linux systems and command-line tooling.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Excellent understanding of security, networking, and identity management in a cloud context.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to convert technical concepts into actionable project plans.


    Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
  • Familiarity with container-based deployment (ECS, EKS, Docker).
  • Prior experience delivering projects under capital expenditure funding models.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures, including lakehouse and event-driven patterns.
