Experience Required: 8–10 years

Role Description:

  • Build and maintain Node.js and Java backend services and REST APIs on AWS.

  • Provision AWS serverless infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules.

  • Develop event-driven workflows and integrate AWS data and messaging services.

  • Deploy and support containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift through CI/CD pipelines.

  • Create and maintain REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications; APIs are migrating to Java.

  • Develop and maintain Lambdas and Step Functions.

  • Write and update OpenSearch queries and work with relational and NoSQL databases including RDS and DynamoDB.

  • Collaborate across teams for testing, troubleshooting, security, production support, and system reliability.

  • Apply API design, scalability, observability, and performance optimization practices.

  • Work effectively in Agile/Scrum and cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills:

  • AWS: Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, OpenSearch, EventBridge, Kinesis, SNS, SQS

  • Backend: Node.js, Java, REST APIs, OpenAPI, event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging

  • Infrastructure: Terraform, reusable Terraform modules, secure remote state management

  • Containers: ROSA/OpenShift

  • Frontend: React, JavaScript, TypeScript

  • AI & GenAI: Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Strands, LangGraph

  • DevOps: Git, CI/CD, automated testing

  • Security: IAM roles, secrets management, secure cloud configuration

  • Databases: RDS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch

  • Engineering: API Design, Security, Scalability, Observability, Performance Optimization

Business Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of cloud contact center functionality and use cases is beneficial.

  • Background in insurance and financial services is helpful.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS serverless services.

  • Strong backend development experience with Node.js and Java.

  • Experience with REST APIs, event-driven integrations, Lambda, and Step Functions.

  • Experience deploying and supporting applications on ROSA/OpenShift.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability.

  • Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state securely.

  • Understanding of IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configuration.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic exposure to GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock.

  • Experience with AgentCore, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Strands, or LangGraph.

  • Knowledge of cloud contact center environments.

  • Insurance or financial services experience.
