At Lifescale Analytics, we help achieve data-driven decision by leveraging strategic technologies to create innovated solutions, that ultimately help our clients to navigate their ever-changing data landscape. We have an opportunity for an AWS Cloud Engineer. This is a remote role, with preference given to candidates residing in Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Minnesota (MN), Michigan (MI), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), or Virginia (VA)Please note: relocation expenses are not covered by the employer.We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize secure and scalable AWS environments. This role is highly collaborative, working alongside solution architects, data engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge cloud solutions. What You’ll Do (will include but not limited to)

  • Architect, deploy, and manage secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant AWS environments for enterprise clients.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) for repeatable, automated deployments.
  • Provide technical leadership on AWS cloud architecture, networking, and security design.
  • Integrate AWS with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, including container orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Optimize cloud workloads for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure governance and compliance across AWS environments, with strong focus on IAM, encryption, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions supporting analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide thought leadership on cloud best practices.
  • Additional responsibilities as requested by the manager and client.


Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering/architecture experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch).
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
  • Experience architecting and operating Kubernetes/EKS clusters at scale.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Deep knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, VPNs, load balancing, routing).
  • Proven track record designing secure, compliant environments (HIPAA, FedRAMP, SOC 2 or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team or independently
  • Current or ability to obtain government security clearance.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 
  • AWS Professional-level certification (Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional) strongly preferred.
