Role Summary/Purpose:
The VP, DevOps Cloud Automation is responsible for leading the design and implementation automation platforms across cloud solutions. This role will partner heavily across the business areas in the enterprise, driving cloud automation process and solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:
Build and Enable Core Platforms: Develop and deploy AWS-based platforms such as AWS Databases (Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, Memory Data) Services, AWS Container Services, AWS Serverless services.
Cloud Infrastructure Development: Utilize Terraform for automation, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure.
Automation Engineering: Build automation scripts using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Python to optimize platform deployment and management.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless platform integration and functionality.
Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and best practices.
Promote best practices for cloud architecture, governance and operations across the organization.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred but not required
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture; OR in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience IT infrastructure or cloud architecture
4+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS
Experience in banking OR other highly regulated industries with a focus on compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR or SOC 2
Proven expertise designing, implementing, and securing full scale AWS IaaS environments and virtual datacenters (including infrastructure, networking, storage services)
Proven experience designing, implementing, securing, and supporting AWS data platforms and integration services.
Advanced proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK
Understanding of cloud networking, identify management, security and governance
Desired Characteristics:
Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across DevOps, Engineering and other cross-functional teams
Proficiency in analyzing complex challenges and making data-driven decisions
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and priorities and staying up to date to drive innovation and continuous improvement
Converged infrastructure experience
Change agent with ability to drive compliance, protocols, & standardization
Strong business acumen & successful track record in aligning with other IT teams
Grade/Level: 12
The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
