Description - Recommend best practices for AWS cloud architectures and use of AWS resources
- Provide leadership in managing AWS resources, and the deployment of AWS resources as related to the platforms
- Manage the Continuous Integration and Release deployment processes of the Clinical Ink platform (i.e. Bitbucket, GitLab, Github, etc. & Terraform scripts)
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and related tooling
- Establish and ensure that comprehensive AWS disaster recovery architecture is maintained and operations are in place that comply with required RPOs and RTOs during business continuity events
- Participate in IT/AWS strategic planning, project planning, and budget planning efforts
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with AWS vendors and service suppliers
- Assist with the update and maintenance of AWS assets to ensure all systems are secure and up-to-date
- Partner and guide cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of AWS related solutions, as related to the platforms
Requirements - 10+ years’ experience in AWS infrastructure and cloud management
- 5+ years’ experience with management of AWS resources
- 5+ years’ experience in CI/CD Pipelines and Terraform
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
- Prior experience in a senior level role(s) in an IT organization
- Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud center operations, network engineering, enterprise applications, security, and production support
- Ability to see “big picture” across areas such as private and public hosted infrastructure and services, identity management, security, telecommunications, enterprise storage, big data opportunities, and end user experience
- Proficient in AWS cloud native resources
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to plan at a strategic, global level
- Strong leadership and technical skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to a wide variety of audiences
- Prior experience in the Life Sciences industry preferred
