For Visa to deliver on the version of the best way to pay be paid for everyone, everywhere, the Operations & Infrastructure team must provide best-in-class infrastructure services that are secure, scalable, continuously available, and run-on software-defined infrastructures. The O&I team is charged with building, operating, and maintaining secure and reliable data centers, systems, and networks to support the business functionality that Visa provides to payment industry stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for providing 24X7 Application Support across multiple visa applications.
  • Supporting complex distributed applications and middleware technologies on RHEL
  • Responsible for evaluating the Issues reported by Visa clients and members and providing ongoing solutions
  • Managing, querying, and analyzing application data in Oracle databases
  • Will be responsible for managing the service and ticket SLAs and managing the workflow to achieve the SLAs.
  • Analyzing current processes and helping to identify process improvements and automation
  • Defining and implementing metrics for use by various levels of management.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience
• Experience with supporting applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in a Production environment
• Experience with Java, Unix, Pearl, DB2 or any DB 3+ years of experience
• 3 or more years of work experience in an IT support and application operations support role or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
• Application performance management Tools or Riverbed Opnet: knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS databases like DB2 or MySQL and NoSQL Databases like Cassandra or HBASE, and PL/SQL along with ability to write and run complex SQL queries
• Experience in JBoss Drools, Jasper Reports, IBM MQ Broker or Apache Kafka, Apache Spark
• Strong Technical knowledge and understanding of web services and Micro Services using REST and SOAP with JSON
• Ability to understand Clover ETL Graphs or ETL Jobs and make modifications.
• Strong Knowledge of continuous Integration using Jenkins and Gradle scripts and Continuous Deployment pipeline Experience with supporting Web Services applications running on Apache Tomcat
• Experience with managing, querying (SQL) and analyzing data stored in an Oracle RDBMS database
• General understanding of Couchbase NoSQL Document Database
• Ability to write and maintain scripts (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.) to monitor system activity including application smoke test activities during pre- and post-production implementations
• Working knowledge of production support processes such as incident/change/problem management, call triaging and escalation procedures
• Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, application design, and implementing major components for large projects
• Strong analytical and automation skillset to innovate and transform the traditional operational model

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 84,600.00 to 119,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
