Site Reliability Engineer

 

Department: Engineering

Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt

Reports To: Service Quality Engineer

Location: Various states within the U.S.

Amount of Travel Required: 25%-75%

Work Schedule: Mon.-Fri. 6 a.m.-3 p.m.

Positions Supervised: N/A

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) use their technical knowledge and experience in equipment reliability to support the Service Quality Engineer (SQE) on all client-specific service, quality, and innovation efforts through proper use of the Evolution Service Quality System (EVO SQ System). 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")  

  • Ensures all Evolution-defined & Client-defined service quality issues are in the EVO SQ System 

  • Works with SQE to understand and ensure all root cause analysis (RCA) receive proper engineered solutions by utilizing expertise in equipment reliability (electrical, maintenance, and/or mechanical) 

  • Ensures all properly completed RCAs are communicated per the EVO standard process 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity 

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Successfully passes background check and pre-employment drug screening 

  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License 

  • Daily predictable attendance 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL  

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent technical field 

  • Minimum of 2 years of equipment reliability experience, preferably with electric and/or power generation (grid power, gas conditioning, and aero-derivative gas turbines) activities 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES  

  • Effective competency of and communication via Teams 

  • At least one or a combination of the following skills to decrease equipment downtime; electrical, mechanical, maintenance or reliability engineering 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, digital tools, apps, and other advanced software 

  • Desire and ability to innovate, both internally and in our partnerships 

  • Strong teamwork within the engineering department and other internal departments 

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or with minimal direction 

  • Ability to effectively multitask and pay attention to detail 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of effective interdepartmental problem-solving and communication 

  • Advancement to power user within TapRooT and EVO SQ 

  • Recognized technical and presentation skills from respective client partner(s) 

  • Demonstrated understanding of client partners’ structure and developed relationships 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of contracts and projects associated with client partner(s)

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. An SRE works primarily indoors and will be sitting for prolonged periods at a desk while typing on a computer, whether in home office, corporate office, client office, or EVO jobsite.  Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. When required to go to a wellsite, the SRE’s work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions, if visiting a pad, the SRE may be required to wear company-mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection, and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. SREs must be able to lift 25 lbs. independently    

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job necessity.
