Job Description
Our client is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support multiple cross-functional project teams that are developing and sustaining large, mission critical, user-facing applications and services. This is an onsite role in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor applications, coordinate changes to the environment, and recommend technical and process improvements to the application teams to improve resiliency and performance
  • Coordinate responses and provide tier 3 support to debug problems and return the systems to service
  • Perform root cause analysis and coordinate technical deep dives with project teams and platform engineering teams to prevent problems from reoccurring

Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI with FS Poly

Required Qualifications
  • Experience leveraging cloud-native tools to build infrastructure and sustain applications in a cloud environment
  • Experience writing cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • Experience working with containers and associated technologies such as Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Experience delivering and debugging applications written in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby running in Linux-based environments
  • Experience developing software in Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Experience delivering and maintaining relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, or document databases such as Elasticsearch or Solr, to include managed databases such as AWS Relational Database Service (RDS) or OpenSearch
  • Experience providing tier 3 support to debug applications and infrastructure; performing root cause analysis of failures
  • Experience using Git and working on cross-functional teams with Git-based workflows
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams in an agile environment
