We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems and Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team in developing, optimizing, and securing cloud solutions. In this role, you will lead the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with best practices and maintaining robust security standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and high availability (100% uptime).
- Develop and implement scripts for automation of deployment, monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure security compliance by analyzing threats and applying best practices for data protection and privacy in cloud environments.
- Lead troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex cloud-related problems, providing advanced support to internal teams.
- Manage Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Data Factory, and SQL Data Warehouse, optimizing performance and scalability.
- Evaluate and architect migration strategies for on-premises infrastructure and applications to Azure.
- Participate in POCs and deployment of AWS/Azure infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and transition to production environments.
- Maintain 24x7 global cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability for critical applications and services.
- Support cloud integration for mergers and acquisitions by evaluating, consolidating, and migrating acquired IT infrastructures into our existing systems.
- Collaborate with global teams to standardize cloud environments across newly acquired entities, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and security standards.
- Lead cloud infrastructure assessments for potential acquisitions, providing insights on technology compatibility, scalability, and future growth potential.
- Develop strategies for seamless IT integration in cross-border acquisitions, focusing on optimizing cloud services and minimizing downtime.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud platforms: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and experience with AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Automation and scripting: Strong skills in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages for cloud automation and deployment tasks.
- Cloud security: Ability to analyze, design, and implement secure cloud environments in compliance with industry standards.
- Networking and storage expertise: Deep understanding of networking technologies (e.g., VNETs, VPNs) and storage solutions within cloud platforms.
- Data migration experience: Experience in migrating on-premise systems and databases to cloud environments, particularly Azure.
- Leadership and collaboration: Proven ability to work across teams and lead initiatives that involve development, infrastructure, and cloud operations.
- Continuous learning: Strong commitment to staying current with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure management during mergers and acquisitions, especially with integrating diverse IT environments.
- Global collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with international teams and understand regulatory requirements across different regions.
- Strategic planning for global expansion: Proven ability to design cloud solutions that accommodate growth, scalability, and acquisition integration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Data Services: Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
- Cloud migration experience: Previous involvement in at least two significant cloud migration projects.
- Strong analytical skills: Capable of evaluating cloud technology trends and recommending strategies for continuous improvement.
Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other relevant certifications.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant majors. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
