Description

Oracle Health Data Intelligence is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer that has a passion for learning and solving problems to join the HealtheCare Care Coordination team!  As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for writing and configuring code in accordance with our client’s technical specifications. To ensure timely delivery, our development teams follow the Agile Methodology. You will make enhancements to existing software with minimal direction, participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues/deviations from best practices, collaborate on component level technical designs, own and assist others in debugging and documenting root cause analysis and resolution. You will also identify process improvements at the team level to support operations and development ecosystem, provide software release support and mentor and train new associates within your team and/or training programs. 

Does this sound like you?

·         You have prior experience working on distributed systems at a cloud service provider

·         You are experienced at building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols

·         You are familiar with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, software-defined networking, etc.

·         You have experience with production operations and good practices for putting quality code in production and troubleshoot issues when they arise

·         Preferably, production experience with Cloud technologies

·         Take initiative and be responsible for delivering complex software by working effectively with the team and other stakeholders

·         You feel at home communicating technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)

Responsibilities
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
  • Programming experience with Java and Ruby
  • Experience with JavaScript (ReactJS preferred) and web technologies.
  • Experience developing RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with technologies and design concepts around Big Data Processing and Relational Databases such as: ETL, Hadoop Ecosystem, structured data, SQL schemas and queries etc.
  • Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, etc
  • Knowledge and experience with any Cloud platform such as OCI, AWS, Azure
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members.
  • Ability to interact directly with clients and an enthusiasm to help them succeed.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and experience with any Cloud platform such as OCI, AWS, Azure
  • Ability to write (and an appreciation for) documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience with writing automated tests using various testing frameworks such as Cucumber or Selenium

US: Hiring Range: from $74,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
