This role offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing engineering team focused on building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and efficient cloud-native applications. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will empower development teams by designing and deploying tools that streamline the software development lifecycle, improve operational maturity, and enhance service reliability. The position combines hands-on engineering with collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving in a highly dynamic, fully remote environment. You will work across cloud infrastructure, microservices, and automation, ensuring that engineering teams can deploy and manage services with confidence and speed while maintaining high availability and performance standards.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and automation tools to support applications in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
  • Partnering with development teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain services, ensuring operational resilience and reliability.
  • Creating and promoting a self-service platform for developers, including service catalogs, repository tooling, and documentation.
  • Implementing monitoring and alerting for key performance indicators, including latency, traffic, errors, and load.
  • Participating in on-call rotations and ensuring end-to-end service ownership across infrastructure and application environments.
  • Continuously improving deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and developer experience through automation and best practices.


Requirements

Candidates should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong experience deploying, managing, and debugging applications in Kubernetes using Helm, Crossplane, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms and services such as GCP, CloudSQL, Pub/Sub, and Memorystore.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization, image management, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Crossplane, etc.).
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to monitor and maintain service health.
  • Familiarity with monorepo or trunk-based development models and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc.).
  • Ability to support and mentor developers with empathy, helping them deploy and manage services end-to-end efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting gRPC microservices and service meshes such as Istio.
  • Knowledge of Go, Python, or Scala for interfacing with application code and improving development practices.
  • Familiarity with application security tooling for static analysis, dependency scanning, and CI/CD security integration.
  • Comfort with Linux-based environments and a passion for clean, maintainable architecture.
