Title and Summary
Senior Product Manager, Platform Engineering
Overview:
Mastercard’s Technology Foundations program is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own our internal development platform that empowers our development teams to build, and deploy, and run software to help some of the world's largest companies make data-driven decisions.
As a member of our team, you will help develop a vision and strategy for the developer experience of the APT Platform, an internal development platform designed for building rapid go-to-market products and features.
You'll work with development teams to understand their biggest challenges, from infrastructure to efficiency, and translate them into feature requirements and priorities for our infrastructure teams to execute on. You'll work daily with Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Program Managers, and leaders across all technology functions to build great products that enable Mastercard's Services organization to deliver top-tier software solutions to our customers.

Role:
• Drive a platform strategy and roadmap for our internal development platform.
• Build relationships with development teams across Mastercard's Services organization to understand and address their biggest development, release management, and runtime management challenges.
• Research the commercial and strategic priorities of market-facing programs to ensure that infrastructure teams are tackling the most pertinent problems.
• Create specifications and acceptance criteria for features, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure that the features are properly developed.
• Identify issues, risks, and dependencies to track product development.
• Track and drive adoption of new features and systems.
• Use metrics to enable data-driven decision making and measure impact.
• Write documentation and build demos and presentations for stakeholders.
All About You:
• Demonstrated experience in product management, specifically within software product management, infrastructure, cloud services, or platform products in a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience with Agile software development principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and Platform Engineering.
• Ability to identify patterns of needs and priorities across teams, understand the workflow of multiple roles, and design solutions that help teams achieve their goals.
• Proven ability to analyze data and metrics to inform product decisions and demonstrate impact.
• Strong focus on delivering customer value and experienced in building strong customer relationships.
Proven track record in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
• Ability to deal with multiple and competing priorities, structure and manage work streams, and set clear expectations and deadlines.
• Ability to balance short and long-term investments and add a commercial lens to deeply technical problem spaces.
• Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.), Aha! roadmapping software, and/or other similar software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will be considered.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Arlington, Virginia: $114,000 - $182,000 USD
