The Position

The Position

The Senior Platform Engineer (Automation & Adoption) is a critical member of the team driving the adoption, integration, and success of our cloud core services platform across multiple product teams. This platform provides enterprise-scale authentication solutions for single sign-on, tenant management, licensing, notifications, audit, and other foundational services.   

You act as a champion for adoption by combining deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills. This position blends technical engineering with customer engagement, product education, and adoption enablement. Additionally, you take a hands-on approach to developing automation tools and improving the onboarding process for product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Technical Guidance & Solution Delivery

  • Act as a technical specialist to guide product teams to use platform APIs, services, and features effectively.
  • Demonstrate and help with setting up test environments, performing app registration, and tenant role creation.
  • Hands-on development and delivery of automation scripts/tools to simplify and standardize the adoption process for key features of the platform.
  • Collaborate with product teams to troubleshoot issues, answer technical questions, and ensure a seamless integration experience.

2) Stakeholder Management & Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with platform customers, including product teams and leaders.  
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers optimize platform use for their business needs.  

  • Promote the value of the platform by introducing new features, benefits, and best practices.  

  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders to track progress, gather feedback, and resolve adoption challenges.

3) Customer Advocacy

  • Be the voice of the customer to platform development teams.
  • Advocate for customer needs by collecting feedback on platform performance, usability, and desired features.
  • Communicate insights to shape platform development priorities.

4) Education, Marketing, & Documentation

  • Educate and train product teams on platform services, features, and APIs.  
  • Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation, how-to guides, FAQs, and onboarding workflows.  
  • Develop, organize, and promote resources such as wiki pages, learning portals, community sites, and marketing material to increase awareness and facilitate self-service adoption.

​5) Adoption Planning & Reporting

  • Develop strategic plans for driving adoption of platform services in collaboration with product teams.
  • Track and report on adoption progress, metrics, and customer satisfaction to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Take ownership of identifying and mitigating risks to adoption.

Who you are:

  • You hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or directly related discipline with 4+ years of hands-on industry experience as a software engineer and experience developing enterprise-scale software workflows and cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred).

  • You have solid software engineering expertise with hands-on coding experience in Java, Python or Javascript. Nice-to-have: Node.js, Automation Scripting, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

  • You have proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and experience providing clear technical guidance, training, and building documentation for user enablement.

  • You have demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of platform adoption; Quick learner who can understand complex workflows and identify efficient solutions and strong experience supporting customer teams and managing stakeholder expectations. Nice-to-Have: Experience in healthcare, particularly with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, IHE), is a bonus but not required.
