Our client is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team supporting a Homeland Security customer in Springfield, VA. There are telework options for this position. The candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD solutions, consulting on DevSecOps requirements, and enhancing automation processes to support mission-critical applications. 

Responsibilities

  • CI/CD Solutions: Identify needs for build automation; design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solutions.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with diverse application and business partners to understand and address DevSecOps requirements.
  • Test Automation: Develop and implement test automation processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Best Practices: Disseminate CI/CD best practices, patterns, and solutions across teams.
  • Development Support: Build or maintain CI/CD building blocks and shared libraries to enable quicker build and deployment for application and development teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Design action plans to address shortcomings and difficulties in CI/CD platforms, tools, and solutions.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in bridge calls with team members and contractors/vendors to prevent or quickly resolve issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and fix problems within the DevSecOps domain.
  • Compliance: Align with technological Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and adhere to industry-standard service management principles.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8 years as a DevSecOps Engineer.
    • Full-stack development experience is preferred.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient with DevSecOps toolkits, including Groovy and Jenkins pipelines, Git, Nexus.
    • Experience with .NET, C# development, and SQL Server.
    • Familiarity with security tools like Fortify SCA, Checkmarx, SonarQube, or comparable technologies.
    • Knowledge of information security frameworks and standards.
    • Proficient in Python programming.
    • Experience with DevOps automation tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions).
    • Familiarity with API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security.
    • Visual Studio Solutions (VSS) experience is a plus.
  • Education:
    • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Other Requirements:
    • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
    • Must pass a background check (internal credit check conducted prior).
    • Ability to occasionally attend onsite meetings in Springfield, VA.
