The Senior DevOps Engineer will support hosting solutions for our MarketProminence clients. In this role, you will collaborate with web developers and the infrastructure team to create and manage build automation to support the deployment and file load processes. You will be utilizing technology stacks within the cloud environments of AWS and OCI. You must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. A sound working understanding of IT concepts and the IT design & delivery life cycle are essential. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development leads and the infrastructure team to design, build, document, and test solutions for data interchange and business process automation.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and Python
  • Create Ansible playbooks for deployment, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure on AWS and OCI. 
  • Enhance file manipulation and data processing engine using Python, YAML, and various AWS and OCI services.
  • Manage deployment process during business and off-hours, oversee and enhance existing automated build process 
  • Develop technical documents to accurately represent the state of applications.
  • Assist in process improvement and release management

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Ansible Developer. Strong knowledge of Ansible playbook development and automation workflows is required.
  • Proven experience with building automation tools, especially Jenkins is required
  • Hands-on experience in Python, and shell scripting with data and workflow management applications and file manipulations
  • Software administration preferably on AWS or OCI, DevOps tooling.
  • General IT knowledge (applications development, testing, deployment, continuous integration, git, documentation, standards, best practices, security, hardware, networking.)
  • Oracle, SQL, and DB administration is a plus
  • Ability to research and solve problems independently.
  • Experience with change control management and issue tracking (Atlassian tool suite: JIRA, Confluence)

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but will consider a combination of experience and education

Additional Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in Eastern Time Zone (EST)

In accordance with applicable Pay Transparency laws, MHK is required to include a reasonable estimate of compensation for this role if hired in New York, Colorado, or Connecticut, or California.  The reasonable estimate for base salary if hired is $100,000 - $130,000.   Please note this information is only an estimate and specific to those hired in New York, Colorado, Connecticut or California.  Outside of these locations, salary range would be aligned to the candidate's specific location.    A final decision on the successful candidate's starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
