Your tasks:
Our mission as European Energy Exchange is building secure and sustainable markets. In your role of a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) you will be part of this journey. Taking over an essential role within the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, you will be working with different internal and external stakeholders to build and improve our observability tools and infrastructure. You are implementing developing and release processes in line with security requirements to avoid cyber security threats as well as helping the different development teams to fully utilize our target platforms (Openshift, Public Cloud (GCP), Linux, etc.). You are involved in setting up the roadmap for our public cloud migration and technology utilization. In doing so, you will actively develop the IT DevOps chain and of course, receive a great deal in return for your outstanding performance from your team. 

  • Design, deploy, and manage OpenSearch (formerly known as Amazon Elasticsearch) clusters on OpenShift within GKE.
  • Set up and configure Grafana dashboards for monitoring and visualization of metrics.
  • Implement Prometheus for collecting and alerting on application and infrastructure metrics.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to observability, performance, and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in observability and monitoring.

Your skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Proven experience implementing and managing OpenSearch clusters.
  • Strong expertise in Grafana dashboard creation and customization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Prometheus, including configuration, alerting rules, and query language.
  • Familiarity with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git and Git workflows, Openshift, K8s(GKE), Public Cloud (preferably GCP) and Linux
  • Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit
  • Able to provide guidance for colleagues and management
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
